Do you read or write fanfiction?

I read it all the time. I very rarely write it.


When did you first start reading/writing fanfiction?

Damn,I started reading a very long time ago. I'd say well over ten years ago.


What was your first fandom?

Actually the very first fandom I ever read fanfic in was The Invisible Man. The show didn't last very long though and I quickly moved on to the X-Files. Lots and lots of fanfic there.


First ship?

I had two ships in the X-Files fandom I read a lot: Mulder/Skinner and Mulder/Scully. Yes, once a long time ago I was not completely turned off by the het.


What website do you use most?

I get pretty much all my fanfiction from Livejournal.


What do you think of Fanfiction.net?

Lame ass.


What fandoms have you written in?

The X-Files (a long time ago and I hope nobody ever stumbles upon those again), Law & Order (SVU and Criminal Intent), Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Supernatural, Veronica Mars. I only wrote one story each in the MST3K and Harry Potter fandoms. Um I think that's it.


Pairings?

I don't really do serious fanfic but I have written the pairings of Dean/Sam, Jensen/Jared, Munch/Cassidy, Eames/Barek, and other pairings that weren't quite pairings. It's kind of hard to explain but alot of my stuff tends to be tongue in cheek. I am good at writing funny, silly conversations but not serious plotty stuff. And it's really not pretty when I attempt smut.


Any fandoms you would like to write in?

I don't really set out to write anything, I just sometimes get ideas that pop into my head and I write them down. It's all up to the voices in my head to decide. *L*


Do reviews affect how you write in any way?

Yes, if I don't get nice comments from people I fall into a deep dark funk. And if I get constructive criticism I get really insulted (cause I'm lame like that). When I get zero comments I assume people hate it. Anything less than glowing praise completely discourages me cause I'm a delicate flower. ;P


Do you use a beta?

Yes I do, the lovely jackiesjunkie is good enough to fix my mistakes so I don't look completely incapable of using proper punctuation and paragraph formatting (which I totally am incapable of)


What ratings do you read/write?

I read any ratings. I tend not to write anything over a PG-13 or maybe R for language.


What warnings have you used on your fiction?

Um slash mostly. Again I don't really do the porny stuff and I don't do angsty either.


Do you have any squicks?

I will not read any fics that have BDSM, watersports, or anything really kinky. I'm so vanilla it's pathetic. I also think mpreg is really stupid.


Do you Role-play online? If so, what?

Um no. I just no.


Have you ever stolen something from another person's work?

I hope not. If I did it wasn't on purpose.


Favorite fandom to write/read?

I have read a lot of Supernatural but lately I tend to read more RPS because the Dean/Sam fics are always so angsty and dark, I read a lot of Jared/Jensen. And I started reading Daily Show RPS featuring Jon/Stephen. I would read Jon/John but people don't write it very much. I also like to read Criminal Minds fics sometimes. I read Reid with Morgan or Hotch. I also read Prentiss/JJ though I'd prefer some Prentiss/Garcia (why does no one write that?)

I don't really have favorite writers, just favorite pairings and fandoms.

No clue.


Do you write/read drabbles?

Everything I write is a very short. I do read drabbles but find them mostly unsatisfying.


Any fandoms you avoid?

I can't read any fanfiction for MST3K. I just can't take serious fanfiction based on such a silly show (silly in a good way of course).


Pairings you avoid?

I never read het parings. I hate the het. Boy/girl sex is icky.


Warnings you avoid?
Angst. I don't like the angsty fics, I can take maybe a teeny bit but there has to be a happy ending. I will not read character death. And I also don't like fics with multiple pairings or characters who are cheating on other characters. I want all my fic to be happy and shiny but not sappy. Man I'm so picky.


Do the number of reviews tell how good a story is?

No, I am amazed by the number of good comments a really awful fic gets sometimes. I'm think what the fuck is wrong with you people? This sucks!


What do you think of Mary Sues?

They are the devil's work! Damn them all to the deepest darkest corners of hell!


Have you ever flamed someone?

No, that's so mean. If I think a fic sucks I just roll my eyes and move on.


Have you ever been flamed?

No, thankfully. I don't think my fragile ego could handle it. *sniff*
