Officer Murphy is on Law & Order playing a dad on trial for buying his son weapons he used to kill a kid! Now I've seen him on every L&O series except for Trial by Jury (which wasn't on long enough for him to guest star in I guess).
I have to buy season 1 of Without a Trace if only so I can see the episode "Clare de Lune" again:
Danny-"I can understand why you want to be alone. It's nice here. Clare, I understand why you feel the way you do. I lost both my parents when I was eleven. We were driving somewhere and they were fighting.
My dad was yelling at my mom. He used to like to yell at my mom. I wanted him to stop, so I said something. Then he turned around, and he yelled at me. That's when the car started to swerve. I never told anybody that. Ever. And I know what it's like to keep a secret. I didn't mean to do anything wrong that day. I was just a kid..."
Oh the Danny angst is so good in that one! Danny has a lot of angst: he accidentally caused the death of his parents, his father used to beat him and his brother, his brother is a screw up and a criminal, he even had to arrest his brother and send him back to prison after speaking at his parole hearing to get him out. Poor Danny, no wonder he became an alcoholic.
Danny-"Where was that "family man" when I was fourteen and Mami and Papi were dead? In the next room sticking needles up his arm."
Rafe-"Papi was drunk. He was a bastard. I spent ten years between his fist and your pretty face!"
