I am currently on a mission to watch all of the movies Jon Stewart has been in that I haven't already seen. I watched Death to Smoochy the other day and tonight I watched Jon voice a villainous spring in Doogal. I have previously watched Half-Baked, Big Daddy, Playing By Heart, Wishful Thinking, Since You've Been Gone, Committed, and The Faculty. I still need to see Evan Almighty and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back in which he has tiny little cameo roles. I also plan to download a short film he was in called The Office Party from iTunes as soon as I have the money in my bank account. I currently don't even have the $1.99 it costs. *fail*

Speaking of my love Jon Stewart, no new Daily Show this week! That sucks. :(
I has s'mores. Jealous?

Don't you hate it when you can't find an old entry? Grr, this is what I get for being all loosey goosey with my tagging.

I'm downloading the movie Death to Smoochy right now. Jon Stewart is in it but his hair is a hot mess so I don't know if I'll even watch it or not.

I kind of want to go see The Hangover. Not normally my kind of movie but the commercials look funny and it has Bradley Cooper in it. I found out if I buy the Ghostbusters video game from Game Stop I can get a free movie ticket so that would be what I would go see.
All of the new shows for fall look made of fail.

In my predictions for the 2008 fall season all the shows I predicted would be canceled did but only half of my renewed show predictions came true.

On the subject of the Criminal Minds finale; does anyone know if Thomas Gibson signed on for season 5 yet? They can't lose Hotch, he's the glue!

Combining two of my most favorite things in the world - Jon & Stephen cracking each other up and kitties - I present keyboard cat toss. It's a thing of beauty.

A few thoughts about Flashpoint:
1. They need to put this on DVD right now so I can buy it and watch all the episodes I've missed.
2. Enrico Colantoni, who was brilliant as Keith Mars, is brilliant as Greg Parker. Almost makes me forget the time he spent on that godawful show "Just Shoot Me".
3. There needs to be tons of Greg/Ed fics written.
4. Why you gotta wait till next summer to bring this show back CBS? It is like a bazillion times better than any of the CSIs. And is a second NCIS really necessary?
5. Canada makes some great TV. Speaking of which, I wish they hadn't stopped airing Corner Gas here.
I can't believe I didn't realize Jon was a guest on the Daily Show back when Craig Kilborn was the host (and they didn't even have a live audience yet).

I find it amusing that Jon says Craig is the glue that keeps the show together since later Jon took over as host and made the show about a million times more successful.

Watched Half Baked last night. Oh Jon you are hilarious as a pothead.

Against my better judgement I am going to watch Animal Planet's special on puppy mills tonight. I better break out the kleenex.

I am trying to decide if I want to use my $250 to buy that full size mattress I've been wanting or just go on a little shopping spree with it. If I get the matress I still have to spend another $100 of my own money to get a frame for it. Plus I have to dispose of my old mattress and headboard. If I go on a little shopping spree I could buy season 2 and 3 of Criminal Minds and MST3K Volume 14. I could also buy some new jeans that I am in desperate need of and maybe some books too.

I had this weird dream last night and I can't remember much detail except Joe Mantegna was in it. I was at like some gathering with family and friends and he was there with his daughter (the one who appeared on Criminal Minds) and I was all friendly with him and we were standing way too close, all pressed up against each other (which I really enjoyed). And then I woke up.
GIP because OMG teh cuteness!

In case you missed the segment: The Tea Party Movement that Fox News totally had nothing to do with starting. How could they when they are so fair and balanced?

Someone posted pictures of Jon and his family walking around New York here and I just have to post my favorite picture of the bunch here. I'm also re-posting a couple other favorite Jon and his kids pictures cause damnit he is too adorable with his kids!

Extreme cuteness under the cut! )

Man Jon Stewart has got to stop turning me into one of those women who gets all swoony over guys with kids. At least my swoonyness is just contained to Jon and his kids right now.
I refuse to cut for he is far too cute.

Oh Jon. <3

I'm bored so I go to the Comedy Central website to see if anybody from Criminal Minds has been a guest on the Daily Show and I found clips of Joe Mantegna and Thomas Gibson! Their appearances were before they were on Criminal Minds but I just had to share them. I wish the embedding worked for me but it doesn't so here are the links:

Joe Mantegna interview (in which he talks about moving to California with Dennis Franz and Jon asks if he has something he wants to announce. *L*)

Thomas Gibson interview (in which he tells Jon about the night he spent in the pokey)

It's always strange to see Jon from his first couple of years on the show. He had so much more hair, it wasn't so grey, and he looked so much smaller then.
My subject line is something I said to [livejournal.com profile] comically_so earlier about Jon Stewart. *g*

Oh Jon you are adorable. *sigh* I wish I could post a clip of his appearance (which lasted like a minute at most) but you will have to settle for a picture of him on there: Jon Stewart "Simpsonized"
The Daily Show is reruns this week! Damnit, how am I supposed to carry on without my Jon Stewart fix?!

I can't stop listening to "My Life Would Suck Without You" by Kelly Clarkson. It kicks ass! I might be spamming you with the lyrics later. Just FYI.

Oh ya, I made icons:

I'm debating with myself over whether or not to watch Supernatural tonight. I know it's just going to make me angry, especially after watching the trailers for it. I may just tape it and maybe force myself to watch it some other day. I don't want to let it ruin my mood tonight especially since Bruce Springsteen is going to be on the Daily Show and I can't wait to see Fanboy Jon!

Speaking of Jon Stewart. I love Jon Stewart. I think he is probably the most wonderful person alive. He is my hero. I don't understand how anyone could not love him. And anytime some asshole talks shit about him I fly into a rage. With that said, fuck you John Gibson! Just because you and your cronies at Fox News don't experience these things we humans call emotions doesn't mean you should mock other people who do. Apparently empathy and compassion are completely foreign concepts to you and selfishness and contempt are all you know. People like you almost make me lose all hope for humanity. Thank goodness for Jon Stewart because he keeps my hope alive.

Today you get two quotes for the price of one!

"Why can't they have gay people in the army? Personally, I think they are just afraid of a thousand guys with M16s going, 'Who'd you call a faggot?'" - Jon Stewart

"What is the fear of the "gay agenda" that has so upset people? Do people think that if gay people are given a place at the table, they'll be so convincing we'll all end up blowing them? What is the issue? 'You know, I'm straight, but you've made such a convincing argument...'" - Jon Stewart
You know what is hilarious? When someone like Tucker Carlson calls someone else a "partisan hack". Tucker Carlson is as "fair and balanced" as Fox News. His analysis on CNN of the Jon Stewart-Jim Cramer interview was nothing but an attack on Jon Stewart. Me thinks someone is still smarting from the time they got pwned by Jon.

Also he's clearly jealous because Jon has something he doesn't: relevance. Tucker Carlson just can't stand that a comedian is taken more seriously than him. You know why Tucker? Cause Jon Stewart is eloquent and intelligent (and still funny) and you are none of those things.
fangirl1981: (daily--jon is cuter than you)

I was feeling all depressed and then The Daily Show came on and Jon Stewart made me all squeeful and happy. Of course tomorrow I will wake up and remember that my life is empty and meaningless and be depressed again but for now I am good... Oh crap it's Thursday, that means I will have to go three days before my next Jon fix. :(

Go vote for Dean! Make sure he kicks Barney's ass!

Please go vote for Jon, he's losing! Dean is winning (of course) but we need to keep him winning.

P.S. I'm still clinging to my Supernatural love a teeny bit I guess cause when I saw someone commenting that "how could a character on Supernatural be beating the 10th doctor?" my immediate thought was "Fuck you!"
Remember the oh so adorable pictures of Jon Stewart and his son? Well someone just posted a picture of him and his daughter and I just had to post it here cause it's so damn adorable!

Jon and his daughter = too cute for words! )

P.S. I posted my 3,000th entry two posts ago and didn't even notice. So this is my 3,002nd entry. Clearly for someone who really isn't very interesting I talk way too much. ;)
Last night right after the Colbert Report went off I switched over to Letterman just in time to see Jon. Then today I watched the tape I made of it from the beginning and re-watched the interview with Jon. I don't know how he manages it but Jon just keeps getting more and more adorable.

Some highlights from the show:

-Dave referring to Jon as a kid. I guess Dave is old enough though to think of Jon as being a youngster.
-When being asked about hosting the Daily Show for ten years Jon said he never thought he'd have a job for that long.
-Jon saying he and his kids made snow angels by hitting pedestrians in a taxi cab. "The hope is they become angels but you don't know what kind of life they lived."
-Jon saying the problem with people like him and Dave hosting the Oscars is that "At some level deep inside our hearts, we think it's stupid."
-Jon talking about his kids. He is such a good daddy and it's obvious his kids bring him a lot of joy. :)

And speaking of adorable fathers, how awesome is Barack Obama for putting up a swing set on the White House lawn?! Obama you gotta stop making me fangirl you.
