I spend way too much time in bed. Last night I went to bed at 1 a.m and didn't get up today till almost 1 p.m. Everytime I tell myself I should spend less time in bed though I think "it's not like I'm going to be doing anything that great when I'm awake".
MEME TIME!

* Post ten of any pictures currently on your hard drive that you think are self-expressive.
* NO CAPTIONS!!! It must be like we're speaking with images and we have to interpret your visual language just like we have to interpret your words.
* They must ALREADY be on your hard drive - no googling or flickr! They have to have been saved to your folders sometime in the past. They must be something you've saved there because it resonated with you for some reason.
* You do NOT have to answer any questions about any of your pictures if you don't want to. You can make them as mysterious as you like. Or you can explain them away as much as you like.

It was hard to limit myself to so few Jon Stewart pics )

I think someone at Pogo is a Harry Potter fan. The badges this week were the "Hog Warts badge", the "Slitherin' badge" and the "O.W.L badge".

I completely fail at cross-posting. Here's my attempt at starting again. Book meme!

01. Do you snack while you read? If so, favorite reading snack?

No. I'm not big on eating while concentrating on anything. Plus I don't want to take a chance on spilling food on my books.

02. Do you tend to mark your books as you read, or does the idea of writing in books horrify you?

No way, I would never ever write in a book! That is sacrilege!

03. How do you keep your place while reading a book? Bookmark? Dog-ears? Laying the book flat open?

I use bookmarks. I lose actual bookmarks a lot and will randomly use little pieces of paper but [personal profile] domina_malfoy gave me a book of 12 cat bookmarks that I've managed not to lose so I'm using them currently. [personal profile] jackiesjunkie bought me some fancy Harry Potter bookmarks but I can't use them around Alec cause he tries to grab the string that hangs from them.

04. Fiction, Non-fiction, or both?

I'm on a fiction kick right now. For a long time I was reading non-fiction only but I generally go back and forth between the two.

05. Hard copy or audiobooks?

I have never listened to an audiobook in my life.

06. Are you a person who tends to read to the end of chapters, or are you able to put a book down at any point?

I always try to make it to the end of the chapter before putting it down.

07. If you come across an unfamiliar word, do you stop to look it up right away?

Not unless it's really critical to understand what the word means to keep reading.

08. What are you currently reading?

I just finished "Selfish and Perverse" and haven't started another book yet. I do have "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies", "Some Day This Pain Will Be Useful to You", "Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit", "Elsewhere", and "Naked Pictures of Famous People" on my to read list though.

09. What is the last book you bought?

"Elsewhere" by Willian Peter Blatty

10. Are you the type of person that only reads one book at a time or can you read more than one at a time?

I guess I could but I like to focus on one thing at a time so I always read one book at a time.

11. Do you like re-reading books?
If I really loved a book then yes I like to re-read them.

Is it weird to consider buying a Stewart/Colbert '08 T-shirt now that it's 2009? Cause I kind of desperately want one. I could just pretend that I bought it last year I guess. *L*

I also kind of want this t-shirt. Too bad it doesn't say "I voted for the candidate not endorsed by the worst president in American history" instead.

P.S. I wish I had money cause they have a sale where you can buy 4 shirts and get one free. I'd get those two plus these shirts:

ETA: I just bought the Stewart/Colbert shirt. I really couldn't afford to but I did. Eek!

Game Stop went ahead and e-mailed me the promotion code to get my free movie ticket! *squee* The movie I'm gonna see, The Hangover, features not one but two former Daily Show correspondents: Ed Helms and Rob Riggle. (I miss Rob Riggle.) Now the movie theater better damn well take the coupon. The website said that they would but I'm still afraid I will show up there and they will say sorry but we can't accept that.

I watched this special on celebrity plastic surgery on E! earlier (I was really bored, don't judge me!) and they were talking about Ashlee Simpson looking so much better after her surgery but I liked Ashlee Simpson's big old honking nose! I think she looked better before. Her nose made her different and unique. Now she's just another pretty face. *yawn* On the special they were going on and on about how this person and that person looked so good after their plastic surgery and I'm thinking "they weren't exactly gargoyles to begin with ya know". The most shocking thing was they said Janice Dickinson looks good. Are you fucking kidding me? She is positively scary looking. Personally I have a problem with plastic surgery. I think people need to embrace the looks they were born with and just age naturally. A friend asked me once if I could get any plastic surgery procedure what would I get and I said I wouldn't get anything done.
My dream casting for Lucifer on Supernatural next season would be Robert Knepper. He's so good at acting deliciously evil! If they are going to have a sexy angel (I don't see it but everyone else seems to) then they should have a sexy devil too. ;)

You Are Like a Cat

You are independent and a bit stubborn. You are content to do your own thing.

You are curious about the world but still an individual. You prefer to be a solo explorer.

You enjoy your alone time, but you also like some quiet company from time to time.

You crave companionship, even if it means just spending time in the same room together.

It is taking half an hour to download a 12 minute movie from iTunes.

So I found out that I don't get my free movie ticket until I actually go in and pick up my copy of the Ghostbusters game which doesn't come out till the 16th so I am going to have to keep my fingers crossed that the theater here keeps The Hangover for more than a week.

I tried to watch Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back earlier. I didn't make it too far. Sorry but using swear words constantly does not make up for a lack of actual comedy.

Harper's Island kind of sort of got interesting last week so I think I will watch it at 9 p.m and catch Groomer Has It when they re-air it later.

I watched Conan O'Brien on Jay Leno's last show last night. Conan is looking old man. Seriously. As my mom said Jay Leno looks better than Conan does. For some reason I've always thought of Conan as being pretty young but last night when he mentioned he was 30 when he started on Late Night I realized he's the same age as Jon Stewart.

I am saving a Criminal Minds mood theme that someone posted in a community. I doubt I'll be parting with my Jon Stewart/Stephen Colbert mood theme anytime soon though.

Random cute kitty is random ... and cute!

Oh and Jon Stewart in shorts is random and cute too. ;)

I joined Club Pogo and I have a free guest pass if anybody is interested.
