Normally I love to read happy slash fanfiction but sometimes, like today, it just makes me feel desperately lonely and sorry for myself. *sigh* I really shouldn't be this jealous of a fictional couple.

My brother claims he is moving to New York in August to go to college. The very same brother who has dropped out of the local community challenge half a dozen times. The same brother that has lived by himself twice in this very city (the city he has lived his whole life in) only to end up moving back in with my mom cause he was too lonely living alone. The same brother that has never traveled any farther than the next state over. The same brother who is always coming up with big plans for his future that never happen and change almost daily. So you will excuse me if I am skeptical about this happening. I told my mom that if he's moving to New York I'm going to Las Vegas to become a showgirl. His biggest reason for moving to New York? They have good public transportation. This is important to him cause he's too chicken shit to drive anymore. He thinks he is going to live in New York on his financial aid and instantly find a part time job. Have I mentioned that he has had about half a dozen jobs before that he quit shortly after starting? The longest he ever held a job was maybe a year. Oy.
I am currently on a mission to watch all of the movies Jon Stewart has been in that I haven't already seen. I watched Death to Smoochy the other day and tonight I watched Jon voice a villainous spring in Doogal. I have previously watched Half-Baked, Big Daddy, Playing By Heart, Wishful Thinking, Since You've Been Gone, Committed, and The Faculty. I still need to see Evan Almighty and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back in which he has tiny little cameo roles. I also plan to download a short film he was in called The Office Party from iTunes as soon as I have the money in my bank account. I currently don't even have the $1.99 it costs. *fail*

Speaking of my love Jon Stewart, no new Daily Show this week! That sucks. :(

I want to get a paid Pogo subscription so I can continue to win badges (I have 33 so far). I am using a guest pass right now which is good for two weeks (this is the third or fourth guest pass I've used) Plus with a paid account I can get pets for my Pogo Mini (they have kitties!). This is my Mini. Isn't she awesome? I will probably get a month long subscription June 1st. I'd like to get one for a whole year but that costs $40 and I can't afford that right now. The month subscription costs like $7.
I has s'mores. Jealous?

Don't you hate it when you can't find an old entry? Grr, this is what I get for being all loosey goosey with my tagging.

I'm downloading the movie Death to Smoochy right now. Jon Stewart is in it but his hair is a hot mess so I don't know if I'll even watch it or not.

I kind of want to go see The Hangover. Not normally my kind of movie but the commercials look funny and it has Bradley Cooper in it. I found out if I buy the Ghostbusters video game from Game Stop I can get a free movie ticket so that would be what I would go see.
All of the new shows for fall look made of fail.

In my predictions for the 2008 fall season all the shows I predicted would be canceled did but only half of my renewed show predictions came true.

On the subject of the Criminal Minds finale; does anyone know if Thomas Gibson signed on for season 5 yet? They can't lose Hotch, he's the glue!

Combining two of my most favorite things in the world - Jon & Stephen cracking each other up and kitties - I present keyboard cat toss. It's a thing of beauty.

A few thoughts about Flashpoint:
1. They need to put this on DVD right now so I can buy it and watch all the episodes I've missed.
2. Enrico Colantoni, who was brilliant as Keith Mars, is brilliant as Greg Parker. Almost makes me forget the time he spent on that godawful show "Just Shoot Me".
3. There needs to be tons of Greg/Ed fics written.
4. Why you gotta wait till next summer to bring this show back CBS? It is like a bazillion times better than any of the CSIs. And is a second NCIS really necessary?
5. Canada makes some great TV. Speaking of which, I wish they hadn't stopped airing Corner Gas here.

I just read Finlater. It doesn't have a happy ending and one line in particular struck me: "You don't love me the way I love you." Man do I know that feeling all too well. I could explain what I'm talking about but I'm afraid I'd just come off sounding pathetic and crazy. I just would like for once to have someone feel the same way about me that I do them you know?

I just got six pairs of jeans on clearance at Wal-Mart for $60. I really needed them too as almost all my other jeans are falling apart now. I also got a floor lamp and two table lamps for $10.

Your result for The Social Persona Test (What kind of man/woman are you?)...

The Emo Girl (QLBF)

Quirky Liberal Beta Female

You don't have to dress a certain way to be a emo girl at heart. You likely have more spunk than The Librarian (QTBF), which is good, but that attitude that screams "Rescue me" only attracts guys for so long. You are interesting and fun, but non-conformism does not replace self-confidence, a virtue you are in sore need of.

You are more QUIRKY than NORMAL.

You are more LIBERAL than TRADITIONAL.

You are more PASSIVE than DOMINANT.

When picking a date, consider: The Lord of the Misfits (QLAM), The Snowball's Chance in Hell (QTBM), The Manga Geek (QLBM), or That Creepy Guy (NLBM).

Here be spoilers for the Supernatural finale )

I will definitely watch season 5 of Supernatural. I may even enjoy season 5. But ultimately it isn't the show I loved and it never will be again. This past season has done irreperable damage to my enthusiasm for this show and for my opinions of the characters. I know it can't be the show it once was, and even if it got as close as it possibly could, I still don't think I could get my love for the show back.

The universe is conspiring against me commenting to [livejournal.com profile] jackiesjunkie. First I can't go to her journal on LJ and now I can't even go to her journal on Dreamwidth. *sigh* I need a new computer. All I have to do is rob a bank to be able to afford one.

Um hi, I'm here now. I don't know if I'm actually going to end up posting much here. Mainly I'm just interested in reading other people's journals. I guess I will post my 2009 scrapbook thing here like I have at Livejournal. I imported all my old entries from LJ and have automatic cross-posting set up. I also deleted the scrapbook stuff from this post cause now I have the actual entry here at the top of my journal.
Recently I've been working on reading the entire "Cat Who..." series which luckily my library has all the books of. I have like nine more to go. Also I got an offer from my book club Insight Out books to buy one book and get one free so I ordered Sarah Water's new book "The Little Stranger" and got "The Wordy Shipmates" by Sarah Vowell for free. When I recieved "The Little Stranger" ("The Wordy Shipmates" is on back order) they included another buy one get one offer and so unable to resist I ordered "Finlater" and "The Screwed Up Life of Charlie the Second". (While perusing the list of available titles I stumbled upon a book called "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" which made me think of you [livejournal.com profile] almightyspaz. It seems like a book you would really enjoy.) I also bought some used copies of "The Shining" and "And Then There Were None" from Amazon.com that I plan to re-read eventually.
Who is your favorite mother (the character, not the actress) from television or the movies?

As much as I am disillusioned with the show right now, I still have to say Mary Winchester. She hasn't made that many appearances but everytime she does I adore her (well except the last time). The song "I Hope You Dance" by Lee Ann Womack always makes me think of Mary and what she would want for her sons.

May you never take one single breath for granted, God forbid love ever leave you empty handed )
