Anyone like Aerosmith? I do. Well I mostly like later Aerosmith because I'm not cool. *L* I got into Aerosmith when I was in junior high and they released their "Get a Grip" album. I had such a huge crush on Steven Tyler, who my mom liked to say was ugly every chance she got, but he was my one and only rock star crush. Anyway I just loaded songs from the "Big Ones" C.D to iTunes. (I've had that C.D for forever but I just now got around to putting on there.) I'm posting a few of my faves here.
"Cryin"-Classic, classic song! Who doesn't remember that video with Alicia Silverstone? This the one that first made me fall in love with Aerosmith.
"I was cryin' when I met you/Now I'm tryin to forget you/Your love is sweet misery/I was cryin' just to get you/Now I'm dyin' 'cause I let you/Do what you do-down on me, yeah/Now there's not even breathin' room/Between pleasure and pain/Yeah you cry when we're makin' love/Must be one and the same"
"Janie's Got a Gun"-This song is so good, everybody in the world should listen to it. It gives me chills everytime I hear it.
"What did her daddy do?/It's Janie's last I-O-U/She had to take him down easy/And put a bullet in his brain/She said 'cause nobody believes me/The man was such a sleaze/He ain't never gonna be the same"
"Amazing"-Beautiful song. This one helped me during some depressive periods.
"That one last shot's a Permanent Vacation/And how high can you fly with broken wings?/Life's a journey not a destination/And I just can't tell just what tomorrow will bring/You have to learn to crawl/Before you learn to walk/But I just couldn't listen to all that righteous talk"
"What It Takes"-Not that well known an Aerosmith song but I've always loved it.
"Tell me that you're happy that you're on your own/Tell me that it's better when you're all alone/Tell me that your body doesn't miss my touch/Tell me that my lovin' didn't mean that much/Tell me you ain't dyin' when you're cryin' for me"
