fangirl1981: (spn--blooper hold me)

The CW is no longer airing Smackdown after early September which means they will have another two hours of their fall schedule empty. It seems to me a hopeful sign for another season of Supernatural since they will have so many holes in their programming schedule. But this statement worries me: "But the CW is facing financial strain. The network will lose about $50 million this year, and it is trying to build its audience by targeting young women with such shows as "Gossip Girl" and "One Tree Hill." Wrestling fans rarely watch other female-oriented CW programs, making the night an island on the network's schedule." I know Supernatural has a lot of female fans but are they reflected in the Nielsens? I think the CW might be assuming that Supernatural primarily has male fans just because they don't have soapy romantic storylines. Plus there is the fact that they booted Smackdown which was their highest rated show simply because it's not like their idea programming. Supernatural doesn't seem to fit the mold for their idea programming either and the network has never shown any support for it.
At long last the second half of the Alec picspam!

ExpandOh Jensen you're so fine! )

That covers the last 9 of Alec's 18 episodes. Fox cancelled the show at the end of season 2 due to the high cost of production.
