I was on the Comedy Central website and found they have video from all the way back when Jon hosted his first episode of the show. I still can't get the videos from the website to embed here so I will just link to video from Jon's first episode in which he talks about the show changing:

"I know I can never be your real father. I don't wanna be. I just want to sleep with your mother."

I noticed they don't have any videos from when Craig Kilborn was the host. I actually watched the Daily Show back when Craig Kilborn hosted. It wasn't really anything like the Daily Show is now. It was much less focused on politics and not nearly as funny. Craig Kilborn was as vain and arrogant as Stephen Colbert except I'm pretty sure he wasn't playing a character like Stephen is. Stephen was on the show when Craig was host, I wonder if he took certain aspects of his character from Craig.

Here's a fun fact: One of the co-creators of the show was Lizz Winstead who was on the show when Kilborn was host but quit after he offended her by saying in an interview in Esquire magazine that "If I wanted her (Winstead) to blow me, she would". Man that Kilborn was classy as shit, huh?
