I'm all doom and gloom lately

I seem to be the only one who is annoyed by the instant popularity of Mischa Collins/Castiel. It's not that I have anything against the actor or the character but I hate that he seems to be stealing all the focus. The show is about Jensen and Jared as Dean and Sam. I want to go back to Dean and Sam and their brotherly love. Just the two of them (and occasionally Bobby) hunting things, saving people, the family business. I don't want them to be fighting and on opposite sides. I just really hate the way this season seems to be going. So maybe it's not so much about Mischa afterall but about how my show is changing and how so many fangirls have jumped on the bandwagon. Where are all the fans like me who miss the way things were? Who still love Dean&Sam and who want side characters to be just that, side characters and not the main focus? I mean when have we ever had an episode where one of the boys was only in one scene and had one line? And why is everybody okay with that happening? I remember when we bitched because one brother had slightly less focus than the other for an episode. I may be overreacting but I don't care. This is how I feel and I wish I felt differently but I don't.

Also if I hear one more person talking about how epic this season is I may lose it.

ETA: Please don't leave comments telling me how I'm wrong. It makes me cranky and prone to lashing out. Just let me have my opinions. I promise not to go on your journals and tell you how wrong you are.
