This is why really religious people scare me

I was reading this story on the death of John Travolta's teenage son and I saw that somebody left this comment:

maybe our lord god was trying to tell john travolta that he is the only god ,not that scientology crap

Wow, I can't even believe someone would say something like that. What is wrong with people? This is how a person of faith reacts to news like this? Absolutely no compassion at all, just condemnation.
