"C'mon, c'mon c'mon
Break my heart again
For old times sake...

You took the best of me
And threw it away
Too bad the rest of me
Still wants you to stay"

Does "C'mon C'mon" by Sheryl Crow make anyone else think of Spydaddy and Spymommy?
Right, just me then.

"My daughter has come to belive that when I look at her I see the embodiement of all my flaws. This afternoon when I learned that she may have been exposed to a life threatening illness I realized she might die believing that. But nothing could be further from the truth. When I look at her, when I look at the little girl who raised herself to become one of the most extraordinary human beings and one of the finest agents I've ever had the privilege of knowing, I see only the promise of my own redemption. Turning myself in was the only way I could think of to make that clear to her, to prove that despite... my limited abilities as a father, I love her more than I could ever say."-Jack Bristow

Yes, I'm quoting Spydaddy again. I have so much love for Spydaddy but you guys are probably sick of my babbling about that.

Columbia House has Supernatural season 1 up for pre-order! That means I can get it from them and not have to pay them for 30 days. Plus I have $10 in funcash, which I was going to use to get Poseidon but now I don't know.

Meme! I wasn't tagged but when has that ever stopped me?
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 3 sentences on your blog along with these instructions.
5. Don’t you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest.
6. Tag three people.

Assassinations That Shook America by Edmund Lindop.
"(Robert) Kennedy then told him that the Justice Department had to enforce the laws of the land and ensure that court orders were obeyed. A federal court ruled that the black students must be admitted to the university. But Wallace refused to back down, so Kennedy sent Deputy Attorney General Nicholas Katzenbach and federal marshals to Montgomery."
I was listening to iTunes and thinking about all the songs that remind me of TV characters and I just had to post about it.

Extreme geekiness in here )
I was hoping season 2 of Alias would come in the mail today. I finished season 1 of it, and Prison Break, tonight. I was hoping to start on Alias season 2 and finish up re-watching Oz (I have four episodes of season 4, and all of seasons 5 and 6 to go)

BTW the best part of the Alias finale is Will attacking the guy who was torturing him and calling him a little bitch. *LOL* I <3 Will. The second best part was him hugging Jack and Jack awkwardly putting one arm around him. *L* Spydaddy isn't a "hugger".

Earlier I was thinking about watching some Johnny Depp movies again. Darn "PotC" sequel, it wasn't that good but it's got me possibly crushing on Johnny again. I still have quite a few of his movies in my DVD library. I've got Benny & Joon, Sleepy Hollow, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, Ed Wood, Edward Scissorhands, Nightmare on Elm Street and Donnie Brasco. I used to be quite proud of the fact that I had seen every Johnny Depp movie*. I can't claim that now though, as I haven't seen "The Libertine" or "The Corpse Bride". I so don't need to get into another fandom though. (Yes, Johnny is a fandom)

*Hell, I even saw every episode of "21 Jump Street" he was in.

While watching Supernatural tonight it occured to me that Jensen Ackles is a pretty good looking guy. I like his lips a lot. They're pouty and not in an annoying Sark kind of way but in a wow those are some nice big lips kind of way. Still don't see the appeal of Jared Padalecki though.

Watched "The Solution" episode of Alias earlier. All the Jack and Will interaction makes me wish there was more Jack/Will slash in the world. (I love when Will told Jack that he scares him *L*) I read this really long one a long time ago and it was really good. Don't remember the name and I think the archive it was on may be gone now.

[livejournal.com profile] powerof3 bought me more userpics! Isn't that just wondefully sweet and generous of her? So now I have lots more icons of pretty people and Spydaddy*.

*No matter how much I love Jack I don't like him "that way". He's like the father I always wished I had, and you shouldn't want to get it on with your dad. That's just sick.

Ate popcorn and smoked sausage for lunch. Interesting combo.

Come on people, give me top 5 lists! Don't make me beg. (Please, please, please. The more fandom related the better.)

Jack Bristow made a list of the best TV dads. Here's what it says about him:

Jack Bristow, "Alias": There were a lot of things wrong with "Alias" over the years. A lot of things. But one of the things the show always had going for it was the spectacular Jack Bristow (Victor Garber), who always seemed destined to give his life for his daughter Sydney in one way or another. Jack made a few mistakes along the way in trying to watch over Sydney without smothering her, but he backed her up in traditional and nontraditional senses. Besides, what's better than being able to say your dad is a spy?

Exactly! Spydaddy was always the best part of Alias. Love him! :)

Interesting and spoilery tidbits about Prison Break season 2 from the creator )
I'm going to post this meme though I doubt I'll actually get anyone to respond. (I brought you people porn and nothing?! Come on!)

Meme:
Top fives! Give me a topic and I'll list my top 5 things. If it's pictures I'll provide them, same with songs. It can be anything you want.
I just want to add that you can ask me for as many as you want. Also fandom related topics would be best. Obviously you can ask me others, I just will have a harder time with them.

Edit: "Have a Little Faith in Me" just came on my iTunes. I <3 this song for being in "Benny & Joon" but also I just re-watched the episode of "Alias" where they had Francie's boyfriend singing it and it kept playing through the next scene where Syd was in SD-6 and they showed Jack. She should really have had more faith in him. She was always so quick to believe the absolute worst in him. My poor Spydaddy. I'm totally gonna think about Jack and Sydney everytime I hear this song from now on.
Spydaddy and T-Bag own my soul. I want to see those two interacting in a fic but I fear that Spydaddy would have to kill T-Bag. *L*

I love when Spydaddy gives the verbal smackdown to Vaughn:

Jack Bristow-"Mr. Vaughn, you're young and you're eager, and I understand that. But one thing you're not, and this is something only time can provide, really, is wise."

Jack-"I used to think you didn't have much of a spine."
Vaughn-"Has that assessment changed at all?"
Jack-"No."

(I'm not a big Vaughn fan)

Ooh and a couple of T-Bag quotes to make it fair:

T-Bag-"After I kill you, I’m gonna crawl out that hole and call me up a limousine and me and yo’ baby’s goin’ to the prom."

T-Bag-"You know it vexes me that uh, that I'm made out to be the bad guy in the room. It's not like you all are incarcerated for stealin' girl scout cookies."

It is hilarious!

I found a song that makes me think of Jack/Nadia (yes I ship them, shut up)
It's So Easy )

I'm not sure about the proper netiquette here. I de-friended someone awhile back, I can't remember it's because they de-friended me first or not, and I just added them back. Do I tell them I added them back? Do I hope they just notice on their own? Am I jerk for even wondering if they would friend me back (if I in fact de-friended them first, which I really can't remember if I did)?

*BTW, My subject line is from last night's Best Week Ever when they were talking about Kevin Federline's new photoshoot, the one he got all dressed up for.

I got rid of a bunch of my icons last night and added some new ones. I've got like 18 open spots right now. That has to be a record for me. Don't worry though, I'm sure those will soon be filled up. I need to find me some more SpyDaddy icons.

Mailing my fan letter off to Robert Knepper today. Hope I get a response.
Eew the other day I saw someone pair Jack and Sydney Bristow together! That is so wrong!!! Perverting their wonderful relationship like that. It's interesting that incest in fanfic only seems to bother me when it's like father-son or father-daughter (or mother-son,mother-daughter). Siblings I have no problem with. Although brother-sister is squicky to me simply because the possiblity of inbreeding happening.

Someone posted an MST3K mood theme today! I'm kinda sad that I can't use it but then I remember why, because of my awesome T-Bag mood theme, and I feel better.

Stuff on TV I have to watch next week )

I'm gonna write Robert Knepper a fan letter. I have two addresses though. Which one would be better to write to: his talent agent or his manager? I would really love to get an autographed photo.

And oh ya more South Park generator characters )

Got my season 1 Alias DVD set in the mail (thank you so much [livejournal.com profile] piekid) and I watched the first episode "Truth Be Told" tonight.

Danny: "Sir, I love your daughter and I want to marry her. That's why I'm calling."
Jack Bristow: "First of all, Danny, the truth is this is just a courtesy call. Like when you say to your neighbor, 'We're having a loud party on Saturday night if that's all right with you,' what you really mean is, 'We're having a loud party on Saturday night.'"
Danny: "Mr. Bristow."
Jack Bristow: "How well do you know my daughter?"
Danny: "We've been dating for two years."
Jack Bristow: "If you knew my daughter at all you'd know that Sydney doesn't give a damn what my opinion is. What interests me is that you do."
Danny: "It's just a custom to call the father. That's all this is."
Jack Bristow: "Well then, I'll tell you what. I may become your father-in-law, that's just fine. But I will not be used as part of a charming little anecdote you tell your friends at cocktail parties so they can see what a quaint, old-fashioned guy Danny really is. Are we clear?"
Danny: "Yes, sir."
Jack Bristow: "Good. Then welcome to the family."

OMG such a great introduction to Spydaddy! If you didn't fall a little bit in love with him after that there's something wrong with you. Aww Spydaddy, you had me at "this is just a courtesy call."

First I have a couple of big thank you's to make: [livejournal.com profile] visionofblue sent me the song "Hate Me" and I love it so very, very much so a big thank you to her! Also [livejournal.com profile] piekid is sending me Alias season 1 on DVD because she doesn't want it. So a huge thank you to her for that! :)

My exciting real life adventures )

I need to find some Alias icons of my two favorite characters Jack and Nadia.

Alright all the networks have announced their fall schedules now. If you want to see a handy little guide just go here

Returning Shows

"Criminal Intent" is moving to Fridays. Are they trying to kill off my show?

They moved "Without a Trace" to Sundays, that sucks! CBS always shows shitty sports on Sundays which delays their shows! :(

Good news for a lot of people on my flist: "Veronica Mars" and "Supernatural" were picked up.

"My Name is Earl" moved to 8 p.m on Thursdays. Might try watching "Supernatural" since "Earl" moved and I'm so over "CSI". I guess we'll get the CW. Right now we have the WB but no UPN. I assume that the WB channel will just change over to the CW come fall.

New shows

I don't have much of an interest in anything thus far except for "Justice" because it has Victor Garber (Spy Daddy!) and Eamonn Walker (from Oz).

Greg Grunberg (Weiss!) is gonna be on a new show but the premise doesn't sound remotely good to me.

If Patricia Wetting is in "Brothers & Siters" how is she gonna play the president on "Prison Break"?

If Camille Guaty is on "The Nine" how is she gonna play Maricruz on Prison Break?

Canceled Shows

"Conviction" got canceled. I'm just crying my eyes out over that one. No more Ice Queen Cabot, how heartbreaking.

Bad news [livejournal.com profile] colin_chaotic, "InJustice" was canceled.
