Interview with Jeff Bezos about the Kindle 2
God I love Jon in this interview. Well I always love Jon but I found him particularly adorable in this one. And I'm so with him on the reading actual books thing. I don't like reading books or newspapers off a computer screen. I like books because they are tangible. Words on a computer screen aren't. I'm reminded of what Giles said on Buffy:
Giles-"Books smell musty and rich. The knowledge gained from a computer, is, uh, it has no texture, no context. It's there and then it's gone. If it's to last, then the getting of knowledge should be, uh, tangible, it should be, um... smelly."
