Rambling

I cant sleep so I decided to do what I always do when I cant sleep: make icons. I thought couples would be a nice theme so I came up with a list of Buffy couples to do and then I thought I need more and it hit me, do Queer as Folk! I used to loooooove QaF. It was my one soap opera-ish show that I was a fan of. My favorite couple was Ted and Emmett! They were just so perfect together. Of course the writers had to go and destroy Temmett. I guess the bastards decided Ted hadn't suffered enough. I mean he was only considered the big loser on the show and tried to commit suicide in season 1, clearly he hadn't had enough misery yet. So they decided to destroy his career and reputation, have him become addicted to drugs and drive Emmett away. Damn, I loved their relationship so much! How they started out as best friends and then Ted fell for Emmett. And he told Emmett but Emmett didn't feel the same way. But then Emmett realized he wanted Ted and they became the cutest couple in the history of forever! And now I desperately want to re-watch the whole damn series. The DVDs are so ridiculously overpriced though, a hundred bucks a set!I guess I'll just have to add it to my list of stuff I can't afford but desperately want. *sigh* I just checked Amazon and they lowered the prices of the first 3 seasons. I still can't really afford it right now though.

Happiness is a cat in your lap

Harry is in my lap. She likes to sleep in my lap when I'm on the computer. She never sits on my lap any other time but when I sit down at the computer she jumps up into my lap. It makes me unbelievably happy when she does that.

I've been watching Criminal Minds for a few weeks now, I guess it's my replacement for Without a Trace. I may be developing a crush on Spencer Reid. He's just so damn geeky sexy! I love me a hot geek. He's all smart and rambly and awkward and totally the geeky boy of my dreams! Ya, anyway Shemar Moore is on the show and I remember when I was younger and my mom used to watch The Young and the Restless and during the summer I'd be home and I'd see bits of the show and now I can't get the fact that he was on The Young and the Restless out of my head. I keep expecting him to randomly rip off his shirt and make out with one of the women on the show. Or get amnesia. Or find out his twin brother who he believed to be dead is actually alive and is plotting to destroy him. And I can make fun of soap opera plotlines all day but I'll quit now. I mentioned the thing about him being on a soap opera to my brother and he said "So he's a bad actor then?". I said just because someone was on a soap opera doesn't make them a bad actor. Lots of stars have started out on soap operas and are very good actors, they just had to work with crappy scripts. The actors that are forced to stay on soap operas for their whole careers are crappy actors.
