I'm sharing with you today my most prized possession.

Way back in 1995 I was completely obsessed with the show Mystery Science Theater 3000. I joined the fan club, taped every episode, spent insane amounts of money on merchandise, etc. Well one day I decided to call up the operator in Minnesota and try to find out the home phone numbers of various writers and cast. It was a fairly stalkery thing to do, admittedly, but I did it. Anyway the one number I was able to get was Mary Jo Pehl's. Mary Jo Pehl was a writer for the show, an occasional guest star and from seasons 8-10 she played Pearl Forrester (mother of Dr. Forrester) on the show. I called her number and got the answering machine. I actually had the balls to leave a message and, here is the truly unbelievable part, she called me back! We talked for a little while and I asked for autographs. She said to write to the show and she'd make sure I got them. So I did and a few weeks later I get a package in the mail. It has a personal letter from Mary Jo Pehl referring to our conversation, MST3K postcards and an autographed cast photo! It was signed by Mike Nelson (who I had a crush on), Trace Beaulieu, Kevin Murphy and Jim Mallon! (Unfortunately Frank Conniff had already left the show at that point.)

Here's what the autographs say in case you can't read them (from left to right):

Hey Kristie
From Crow
Trace

Hi Kristie!
Love Gypsy

I've Been to Kristie Street
Mike J N

Kristie!
Push The Button!
Dr "F"
ECART
(Trace spelled backwards)

We Love You Kristie
Tom Servo
(with a K on the line at the top of the T for Kevin Murphy)

I really need to get a frame to put the picture into. I used to have one but I took it out and I don't have the frame anymore.

Over the years my mom has made several comments about how much I could get if I sold the picture but I always tell her there's no way I'd ever sell it! It's priceless to me. If something ever happened to it, like getting burned in a fire or something, I would be completely devastated!
