In all my fandoms I have one character who I adore above all others. Sometimes I don't even know why it is I adore them so much, I just do.

As far as fanfic goes I don't have OTPs so much as I have OTCs (one true character), the character I will read paired up with almost anyone. It's usually the character I consider my favorite but for some it's different. Like in SVU it would be Munch or Cassidy; HP would be Snape. And it usually has to be a slash pairing. I really don't like het at all.

To all you people who ask us slashers "Why do you have to make everybody gay?" I say "Why do you have to make everybody straight?"

The Beecher/Keller shippers really get me. I myself am a fan of those two on the show but I am realistic. I see the relationship for what it is; completely and utterly fucked up and destructive. Those people who complain that they didn't have a happy ending are delusional. I saw someone say they wanted the show to end with those two getting out of prison, moving in together and raising Beecher's kids. UM WTF?! Those two aren't going to set up a house with a white picket fence and be normal. One of them would end up killing the other. Keller is a psychopath, sorry but it's true. He loved Beecher in his own way, but that is far from a healthy, normal way. And you may be saying "But you ship Ryan/Gloria." True, but only within the confines of the prison. I have no delusions that Ryan and Gloria could get married and go skipping through the daisies together. I want them to stay as they are: Ryan behind bars obsessing over her, her obsessing over him and hating herself for it, and no big happy ever after ending. This is Oz people, wake up and smell the coffee.

Getting down off my soapbox now.

After re-watching "Uncivilized" (Cassidy!) again I decided to check out a site on registered sex offenders (I don't think that they were suggesting you do that considering what it made those kids do. But what was the moral? Give sex offenders the benefit of the doubt? Somehow I don't think that was it.) Anyway there's like 16 sex offenders in my town! That's a little scary. One of them is listed as living in a house we used to live in! Dude there's a sex offender in my old house! There seems to be a lot of child molesters, one rapist, and a couple guys who were charged with "vicarious sexual gratification". What the fuck is that?

This whole thing reminds me of the episode of Oz where they were talking about how sex offenders had to register on TV and that one guy Coushaine was having a fit over it and after he walked away Hill and Wangler looked at each other and said "Sex offender."

Um I also wanted to mention that Betty Buckley, who played Ryan O'Reily's mom, was on "Without a Trace" tonight!

I got approved a little while back to do Cassidy for fanfic100. I'm posting my table with links to the 6 fics I've already got written.

I have no idea if I'll actually even write anymore stories because I know I suck which tends to dampen my enthusiasm for the whole writing process. I'd like to write a Cassidy/Danny Taylor story but I just can't seem to get myself motivated enough to even start thinking up a plot. And good lord but I sound whiny and self-pitying don't I? Sorry about that I just haven't gotten a lot of good feedback, or any, and it frustrates me. I suppose I could just throw in the towel and tell them I don't want it but I might write more and I don't think anybody is waiting to claim Cassidy (he's kind of forgotten in the fandom being as he was only in 13 episodes). And I've rambled enough, so shutting up now.

I'm gonna post all my icons and explain why I have them just because I can!

I can understand not wanting your children to see certain shows but when you get up on your high horse and talk about shows being disgusting and immoral that pisses me off!

If the site was just about saying "Hey there's a show we think you might not want your kids to watch" that would be fine. But they have all these petitions and shit about censoring TV and taking indecent programming of the air. Look if you don't want to watch it, fine. If you don't want your kids to watch it, stop them. Don't try to get every show you don't like thrown off the air!

Been feeling depressed lately so I'm trying to do some little things to cheer me up.

You know what incredibly weird cross-over pairing just came to me: Danny Taylor from Without a Trace and Ryan O'Reily from Oz. They both have that cocky swagger and ability to charm the pants off anyone they please. Those two would be very interesting together, not to mention H.O.T! Danny and Brian Cassidy would be good too. Cassidy is a little like Martin but not completely boring like Martin is, so that's a plus.

This whole thing is brought on by my noticing how hot Enrique Murciano is. Why must I keep developing these boycrushes?

And now I am going to see if I can write some Danny/Cassidy.

WOO HOO! SVU was Casey-centric!!! This episode was taken from the same news story that Criminal Intent's big two hour episode was and I think one of the kids in that episode was in this one too. But with all that Casey to love, I'm certainly not complaining.

Ooh tomorrow night is a new episode of CSI NY, which means I get to see my Stella again!

I just read the review for "Conviction" in the new Entertainment Weekly and I just have to share this excerpt:
